In this Android Game Development tutorial we will talk about the AndEngine setup and talk about the different superclasses we can. We will be using the BaseGameActivity for GLES2 instead of SimpleBaseGameActivity. There is a lot of confusion about the difference between BaseGameActivity for GLES1 and BaseGameActivity for GLES2 (which allows us to have more control of our game). They are two completely different classes. SimpleBaseGameActivity in GLES2 is somewhat similar to BaseGameActivity for GLES2, but BaseGameActivity for GLES2 is completely different and requires callbacks. We will talk about all of this an more in this AndEngine tutorial for beginners.
