In this vocal tutorial, Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán guitarist/vocalist Arturo Vargas discusses the vocal techniques he uses to achieve his famous falsete while interpreting his signature song "El Pastor". Join in as Arturo discusses the stage presence, how to interpret a song with your body, breathing and vocal techniques and what makes his version of "El Pastor" different from the many versions in existence.

Arturo began his vocal career as a child prodigy at age 7 in the small town of El Tepehuaje, Jalisco. By the time he was a young adult, he had performed on over 100 television programs and competed in numerous music festivals and competitions in Mexico and abroad. Arturo mesmerizes audiences with his high tenor voice in his signature song El Pastor. His awe-inspiring falsetto has become a hallmark of Mariachi Vargas concerts around the world.
