This is a tutorial on how to use the newest weapons in the DCS: F/A-18C's repertoire, Joint Direct Attack Munitions or JDAM's.

This tutorial will compare and contrast JDAM's with LGB's and explain the best practices when employing JDAM's and the types of targets most suited to attack with JDAM's.

Do note that there is some intensive information input required by the pilot in order to use JDAM's and thus is susceptible to human error leading to the bomb not hitting the intended coordinates and causing major collateral damage or even blue on blue incidents. Double and triple checking of target coordinates, altitudes and terminal guidance settings is a must.

I seriously recommend flying with a notepad and writing implement handy, and especially with JDAM's onboard the aircraft.
