Part 12 - A Plains Guardian, A Beach Guardian, and Settlers From the Past
We pick up where we left off and bring the Mistress of Wisdom back to her village. She is mad about us killing the forest guardian, and binds us in a root hold before finally giving us the chance to explain ourselves. Turns out she doesn't know much, but may be able to offer a remedy to help with the Malichor even a little. She is not familiar with the sickness we were describing, but will offer what help she can. Now that we've finished this part of the quest, we select another, but decide to go hunt down another guardian first. Originally I had thought it was another forest guardian, but this one is actually a Plains Guardian, a new enemy I have not faced before. We take it out, and hear that delicious achievement pop sound. Continuing down the road though, we make it to the mine that one of our characters pointed out earlier. We ask the locals about the mine, and they mention an ancient ruins on the other side that no one has reached before. We explore through the mine, and find it rather easy to get to the ruins. We explore around looking for clues as to who built these ruins, which of the settlers from the past came to this land before? We find some of the bat creatures fluttering around, but also guarding two chests, one of which I miss during this episode, and another containing secrets, is a beach guardian. I have fought one of these before, but it was during Vasco's side quest. We take out the beast, discover who the past settlers were, and decide to take a break here. We will continue discovering this mystery next time!
