Swapping Algorithm: R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R
Buffer Location: LBU
Target Location: DFR
How to swap to a certain letter:
1. Setup the piece to the target
2. Do the swapping algorithm
3. Undo the setup moves
Q: How do I undo a setup move?
A: When you do setup moves, imagine the piece moving along a path towards the swapping spot. After the swap, try to move the piece back along the same path towards its home location.
Q: What do I do for flipped pieces?
They're just like new cycles.
Q: How do I remember which pieces I have already visited in memorization?
A: Use your fingers.
Q: How do new cycles work?
A: Memorize 1 letter of an unsolved piece. Then trace through and memorize pieces as usual until you get back to the same piece. Memorize that letter as well and you're done with the cycle.
Q: What if my buffer piece is solved?
A: Start a new cycle with an unsolved piece.
Q: What if my buffer piece is flipped?
A: Start a new cycle with an unsolved piece.
Q: I used the setup moves below. Why did the piece end up flipped?
A: Each piece has multiple letters for it, so pick the right one. For example, C/J/M are the same piece.
Setup Moves:
A: buffer (you can't swap with A)
B: R2
C: F2 D
D: F2
