The pattern includes instructions for either an "open" or "closed" thumb.

The yarn I used in my mitts:
Rainbow striped mitts: Two Sisters Big Sky Base, in Make it Pop (striped) and Bright Pink
Pinks/Purple striped mitts: Turtlepurl Turtletoes in City Girl with the extra little hank of gold yarn

The needles I use in this video are Knitter's Pride Ginger.

My finished mitts weigh 53g (smaller size) and 75g (larger size) per pair.
