How to make a LEGO Friends style ghost, genie, snake and dementor, with the host Dr. Brickenstein. You will need a mermaid tail from Ariel or Alana, found in the Disney Princess line of LEGO sets. You will need to cut it and then smooth out the edges. Having the right files will help. Immensely. When you're satisfied with the shape, you can paint it!
Depending on where you cut and what color you use, the finished piece might look like the lower part of a ghost, animal or blob.

I will use the black "tail" for a dementor, the blue one for a genie, the green one for a snake and the silvery-grey one for a sparkling ghost.
