I have ben making my own tassels and covering them with polymer clay tops for many years now. You can use them in jewellery, soft furnishings, on Christmas trees (but not anywhere near candles!!) or just to have hanging wherever they may look good.

In this tutorial I take you through the whole process from making the tassel, covering it in scrap clay, making a decorative cane, and then covering your tassel top in the patterned veneer. This is a fun technique and a good one to use up small amounts of leftover canes on.

There is just so much fun to be had with tassels, so go on, give one a go.
