Monster Hunter is hard. It's very hard. Once you get into it it's not so hard, but those first ten hours or so are entirely you learning the ropes and understanding how to play the sodding game. If you're put off by that, Monster Hunter Stories teaches you an awful lot of the basics of Monster Hunter in a more straightforward way, prepping you for the real thing should it ever come to Switch in the West.
