A Scotsman attempted to make a cooking video using a video app that automatically generates subtitles, to hilariously ill effect.

Filmed in Michael Mearns' kitchen in Glasgow on April 20, the video features choice translations including: "Welcome to cooking with Mick and Billy," becoming "Welcome to cook on my Mac and belly".

Other strange subtitles include "Look at that!" becoming "What's the weather?".

Mearns commented: "Decided to test the app by making a cooking tutorial. Some of the translations are hilarious."
