Today we're looking at THE most requested bass line breakdown in the last 10 years of Talkingbass (10th anniversary next month!!). We're looking at the song Rio by Duran Duran and the amazing bass riffs played by the hugely underrated John Taylor.

This bass line is a total workout and study piece for bass players from beginner to advanced level (yes, even advanced players might even struggle with some aspects of this tune!). You'll be working on syncopated 16th notes, ghost notes, left hand muting and right hand fingerpicking.
