Color is a constantly renewed enigma and this is what makes it so beautiful. Each artist has a unique way of seeing color and delivers, through painting, a truly unique expression.
In a way, one never really masters color, and maybe that's for the better. Sometimes the best ideas are found in the "happy little accidents", those little mistakes that are not really mistakes. Color is fluid, like a stream that goals around the rocks, and most of the time, the little mistakes find their solution naturally, by trial and error. However, not all mistakes are like that, some lead to others and unfortunately make things worse. While some mistakes are harmless, some should be avoided at all costs, and that's what we'll talk about today.

I am an artist living and working in France. I learned the techniques of the Atelier of the Nineteenth century and now I try to share some of my knowledge with the rest of the world, because I think that beauty still has an important role to play in artistic creation. I do mostly drawing and oil painting, and my goal is always to provide techniques, thoughts and explanations that can be useful to anyone, from beginners to more advanced artists.
