This step-by-step tutorial shows you how to knit a basic poncho / cape (with "volcano shape") using a round loom. It is very easy to make and it can be worked on any loom (the larger, the better).
In this tutorial you will learn:
- How to cast on stitches on the loom
- How to work e-wrap knit stitches and purl stitches
- How to work in flat panel
- How to bind off
- How to sew sides together
LOOM: The loom I use in this project is a 41-peg XL gauge round loom, but any loom can be used.
YARN: The yarn I use here is a bulky weight yarn (size #6). If your thread is thinner than mine (a medium weight yarn), I recommend you to use 2 strands at the same time.
