Choosing your Duplicants (Dupes)

- Avoid: Flatulent, Anemic, Mouth Breather, Loud Sleeper, Bottomless Stormach
- Good to get: Diver's Lungs, Buff, Quick Learner

-You may want to get one duplicant that has an interest in Research to help speed through research.

First Things To Do:

- Build a Latrine (bathroom)! This way you avoid the dupes going to the bathroom on the floor and spreading germs early in the game.

- Build 1 wash basin first and make sure it has water before you build the outhouse. This avoids dupes not washing their hands.

-Build 3 outhouses and 3 was basins to make sure they don't all try to use 1 bathroom at the same time. Enclose the bathroom to get the latrine bonus.

- Build a Barracks (bedroom). An enclosed room with a cot for each dupe will keep them happy and well rested at night. Build these in the upper part of your base so they can get oxygen.

- Build some storage containers to help clean up the mess and increase decor values. This lowers your dupes stress. Set them to sweep only so that the dupes don't pick up everything in the world.

- Build a research station and connect it to a manual generator and 2 small batteries. Research Advanced Research first to unlock the jobs board.
