In this episode I:
Talk about Morale and Morale Expectations and how they relate to stress. Morale can be changed through these ways:
Room Bonuses
- Latrine +1 (easy in the first cycle)
- Barracks +1 (easy in the first cycle or 2)
- Mess Hall +3 (aim for cycle 5-10)
- Great Hall +6 (aim for cycle 20)
- Bedroom +2
- Washroom +2
Food
Bad food is -1
Best food is +16
BBQ also is +16 and gives a stress lowering buff called soul food
early game I suggest:
cooked mush bar (if required but try to avoid)
meallice cooked into liceloaf
mushrooms cooked
BBQ
grissle berry
Mid to late Game:
stuffed berry
frost bun (from wild sleet wheat)
pepper bread (from wild sleet wheat)
Breaks
2 shifts of downtime is +1 morale
3 shifts of downtime is +2 morale
4 shifts of downtime is +3 morale
5 shifts of downtime is +4 morale (the max)
Showering is +3
Social Interactions
- social chitchat +1
Decor
greater than 0 is +1
greater than 120 is +12
paintings, sculptures and metal tiles are easy ways to get decor
Later game Morale boosts
- Dancing (at the jukebot) +2
- Playing video games (arcade cabinet) +2
